MISSOURI RIVER HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT
Missouri River Historical Development In recognition of Sioux City, Iowa's, Bicentennial Celebration of Lewis and Clark's historic 1804 Expedition, The Corp of Discovery, The Missouri River Historical Development of Sioux City acquired Pat Kennedy's second casting, in an edition of three, of the 15' Spirit of Discovery monument to grace the entrance of their new Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center.

Installed in late summer of 2002, Kennedy's double life-size sculpture of Meriwether Lewis, William Clark and their Newfoundland dog named Seadog, portrays them in all their glory.
