Boody Fine Arts, Inc. specializes in the planning, management, and installation of art collections.

Whether we partner directly with a client or collaborate with a design team, our goal is to provide customized, site-specific art that differentiates a space from others. Services can begin with space analysis and continue through installations. Clients can be assured of receiving high quality, comprehensive consulting services designed to achieve set goals.

  • Assembling interior art collection
    • Define collection parameters:
      • Evaluate or develop client's and/or designer's vision, goals, and objectives.
      • Develop budgets and timelines.
      • Establish communication procedures and confirm individuals selecting works of art.
      • Identify focus or theme for collection utilizing our Visual Listening Presentation.

      Facility analysis:
      • Preliminary analysis and parameter development of space (includes analysis of each area's function and ranked importance/usage).
      • Evaluate existing collection for reframing or relocation, if appropriate.
      • Define art locations, sizes, axes and lighting concerns, and notate recommendations on a set of architectural blueprints (includes relocation of existing works if appropriate).

      Artist selection and management of project:
      • Guide artist selection and/or recommend art for each location.
      • Determine availability of selected artist's current works and contact artists regarding site-specific commissions.
      • Finalize facility analysis and art selection.
      • Secure art/artists.
      • Develop and guide contract negotiations, if appropriate.
      • Develop and review commission proposals.
      • Monitor progress of commissions and construction specifications.
      • If applicable, verify framing specifications. Boody Fine Arts frames in-house or supervises framing with local custom framers.
      • Establish warehousing, receiving, and shipping requirements.
      • Schedule installation dates with the client and others involved.
      • Assist and review signage pertaining to works we install.
      • Coordinate maintenance and conservation plan procedures.

      Curate finished art collection:
      • Photograph collection (film, digital, or video).
      • Prepare brief resume on each artist.
      • Document the location, medium, size of piece, year of execution, format, and other important information.
  • Curating existing art collection
      • Photograph collection (film, digital or video).
      • Prepare brief resume on each artist.
      • Document the location, medium, size of piece, year of execution, format, and other important information.
  • Acquiring and placing existing sculpture
      • Evaluate client's vision, goals and objectives.
      • Research and evaluate private and public art funding options.
      • Determine budget and timeline.
      • Analyze site
      • Guide artist selection process (BFA researches art genres within contextual requirements for each sculpture site).
      • Manage art acquisition process, including contract negotiations with artists (insurance policies, engineering certificates, etc.).
      • Provide client with fabrication and installation timeline.
      • Manage artist timeline.
  • Commissioning site-specific sculpture
      • Evaluate client's vision, goals, and objectives.
      • Research and evaluate private and public art funding options.
      • Determine budget and timeline.
      • Analyze site.
      • Guide artist selection process (BFA researches art genres within contextual requirements for each sculpture site).
      • Coordinate artist invitation process (RFQ/RFP).
      • Facilitate the artist/art proposal selection review process utilizing our Visual Listening Presentation.
      • Manage art acquisition process, including contract negotiations with artists (insurance policies, engineering certificates, etc.).
      • Provide client with fabrication and installation timeline.
      • Manage artist timeline.
      • Visit artists' studios during key points of project to provide clients with written status reports including photo documentation.
      • Assist artist’s coordination of art transportation and installation.
      • Assist in dedication ceremony coordination and preparation (if applicable).
